Scholars Play Mat and South Tigris Reprint

Early last year we ran our Kickstarter for the South Tigris expansions which was a great success, and as usual we encouraged people to buy the game at retail if they preferred. Little did we know the USA Tariffs were gonna hit global trade. This led to our English language retail partner Renegade Games Studios dropping retail production for these expansions and some of our other games Kickstarted last year.

This unfortunately meant that the only place the South Tigris expansions were available was from our website, and due to us not printing numbers suitable for retail we’ve already sold out of Tides of Trade and Body of Books.

To remedy this situation as much as possible, we have decided to give people another chance to get their hands on these expansions by running another Kickstarter to reprint them.

Scholars of the South Tigris Play Mat

We also wanted to use this Kickstarter as an opportunity to offer something new. Many fans have expressed a desire for a play mat for Scholars of the South Tigris. So we will be offering a Scholars of the South Tigris Play Mat through this same Kickstarter campaign. 

This Play Mat not only includes room to place Upgrade Cards in the top-right corner, but also to add XP reminders for these, as well as for the first Caliph, and the third space of each Research Track. We also added a small reminder to gain XP when landing on or moving over the Neutral Player Marker on the Map. The 985x520mm Play Mat is made of 2mm thick neoprene with grey stitching around the edges. It also comes rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube.
